Dr Sunny Sandhu aka Bhoomitra is a musician, holistic healer, musictherapist, Gond tribal art gallerist based in St Paul de Vence.
He is originally from Punjab, India. He did his training in Dhrupad Classical Music with Maestro Ustad Asad Ali Khan.
He keeps Dhrupad tradition his base and explores the entire world and genres of music with his instruments and voice. Dhrupad centres on rhythms of nature and divine purpose of life. He works solo and with other artists . Currently he has Bhoomitra Band with 5 musicians .
New band with MIcheline Van Hautem 1NUR has 5 musicians as well. There are collaborations with Painter- Dancer Gunilla Larson and Dance Therapist Stephanie Gallina .
Bhoomitra alias Dr Sunny Sandhu is a singer, musician, music therapist and galerist from Pendjab in India. He lives in Saint Paul where he teaches music therapy and exhibits Gond Tribal Art.He has a diploma in modern medecine in India and afterwards studied classical indian music and traditional medecine. thus was born Bhoomitra (Friend of the Earth) which creates music and an atmosphere to bring people in a trip in the heart of Mother Earth. He recently won the prize Betond Music for Sings for the planet for his work on the piece « Si Ghan »
Bhoomitra alias Dr Sunny Sandhu est un chanteur, musicien, musicothérapeute et galeriste d’art du Pendjab, en Inde. Il vit à St Paul où il enseigne la muséothérapie et expose l’art tribal Gond. Il a un diplôme en médecine moderne en Inde et a ensuite étudié la musique indienne classique et la médecine traditionnelle. Ainsi naquit Bhoomitra (Ami de la Terre), qui crée de la musique et une atmosphère pour emmener les gens dans un voyage dans le ventre de mère nature.
Il a récemment remporté le prix Beyond Music pour Songs for the Planet pour son travail sur le morceau « Si Ghan »
Santosh Marawi is a gond tribal painter from Garakmatta village , dindori district . He is related to Jangarh Singh Shyam the great pioneer of the Art form . His father is a Pradhan priest and plays the Bana instrument . Santosh is an autodidact and never went to art school . He learnt by observing his family members paint . He has developed his own signature style inside the gond universe and focuses more on ecological stories than God’s and goddesses . On his paintings the interdependence of life and the sustainability is visible . His artworks have been exhibited in Atelier om, tribal art gallery in Saint Paul de vence and has been sold to collectors in Europe and America.
Santosh Marawi est un artiste tribal gond du village de Garakmatta dans la région du Dindon il vient fe la même famille que Jangargh Singh Syam le grand pionnier de cette forme. Son père est un prêtre Pradan et joue l’instrument le Bana. Santosh est un autodictate et n’est jamais allé à une école d’Art .Il a appris en en observant les autres membres de sa famille peindre. Il a développé son propre style à l’intérieur de l’univers Gond et se focalise plus sur des histoires écologiques que sur Dieu et ses Déesses. Sur ses peintures l’interdépendance de la vie et de la sustaninilité esr visible. Ses œuvres d’art ont été exposées dans son atelier et dans une galerie d’Art tribal à Saint Paul de Vence et a été vendue à toutes sortes de collectionneurs en Europe et en Amérique.
Rajendra kumar Gond Artists based in Amarkantak , Madhya Pradesh . He and his wife Chandni Urveti work together to create magical tiger stories from the jungles around them . Tigers are also used to represent power hungry politicians as well making their work political satire as well .
